I have gotten a few items from My Spot, this has been the best so far. I got the bacon omelette with a bunch of veggies and this came loaded. I definitely could have gone without the bread and the hash brown as they weren’t on par with the omelette at all. Will give a few more items a try soon!

To start, the Manager, Veronica, was EXCELLENT! She is a sweetheart. I had never been to this place, by the way, the name has changed to My Spot, Downtown Grill, Inc., and she helped me with my order and was extremely nice. I recently began eating Vegan and, while My Spot is not strictly Vegan, they will make Vegan food. She talked me into the Lentil Tacos. They were perfect. The flavor profile worked very well together and I was quite happy. I also had tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were crunchy and flavorful. The salsa was okay, but the tacos and chips took care of that. They both over shadowed it. The music playing in the background led to a relaxed atmosphere and general happiness. I look forward to going to My Spot again. I highly recommend this place.
The food was so excellent!! I didn't even know this place existed but, now I do and I will be going back!! Only complaint I can say is that Bakersfield, in the summer is gnarly and miserable. So, when I got there it was just as hot inside this place as it was outside. Still won't deter me for a repeat visit. I'll just take my food to go. That being said, the honestly do have the eating area/lounging area really nicely decorated and set up.
Came from san luis obispo and wanted to try this place out. Owner was super nice and personable, gave me a free water :) I had a PIPING HOT breakfast burrito. Love that they serve these all day. Very fresh with lots of sausage bacon and ham. Has a coffee shop attached to it and SUPER afordable prices. Normally I'd pay 50% more for this size burrito. 10/10
The staff demonstrated extremely nice hospitality and the food is to die for. I ordered the cali burrito and let me say, it tastes heavenly. The prices are cheap and the food is immaculately seasoned. I have and will continue to recommend this restaurant, not only for its food and staff, but also for its beautiful atmosphere
Love the atmosphere and walking distance from court house. You feel like you found a hidden gem. Nice selection of various food. Love the asada tacos.
I stopped in after court. It appears to be frequented by a lot of attorneys and law enforcement. The food was EXCELLENT. I suggest the garlic fries with your order. There were very efficient considering how crowded it was - I came during the lunch rush. My only annoyance was the pressure to tip. If I stand up when I order and the food is to go, why would anyone expect a tip?
My Spot is a great spot! Eddie, the owner, is an awesome guy and very accommodating. He was quick to come up with a vegan option that wasn’t on the menu. His jackfruit “carnitas” torta was excellent!! Everyone I’ve talked to loves the menu and service.
